It is the first big dimension building erected under the wall, in Portas de Santa Catarina. It had belong to the Italian community established in Lisbon and was inaugurated in 1552 as the head office of a special parish that did aggregate all the people of that nationality. This first mannerist church, suffer a fire in 1651 and was restored successively in the second half of the XVII cent, after the earthquake. The erudite façade presents great quality sculptural elements and a unique saint nave with lateral alters, and with some notable paintings, characterizes the interior.
