Turning the corner of Rua do Arco de Jesus we can see Solar dos Carvalhos in Rua do Século. In the front of the palace there is an half-orange square from where arises an elegant monumental public fountain made in the XVIII cent by Carlos Mardel. Contiguous to this palace are the redaction and the workshops of the newspaper "O Século".
