The commerce square takes us to Rua Augusta through a triumphal arch, inspired in the French architecture, which was inaugurated in 1873. It took part of the urban pledge to modernize Lisbon.
Eugénio dos Santos started to conduct its initial process in 1755. The authors of this allegoric work of art were A. Camels, Vitor Bastos and Veríssimo José da Costa.
