In a series of coffees and shops projected and remodeled by Norte Júnior, are A Brasileira in Chiado and Nicola in Rossio, in face of the bourgeoisie desire to accompany the Paris, Vienna, Munich and Brussels cosmopolitan life rituals.
A Brasileira, inaugurated in 1905, by the Brazilian Adriano Teles, specialized in coffees in Minas Gerais (Brazil). It becomes in a reunion local with writers and plastic artists. In the 20th years, Norte Júnior made an interior and exterior remodeling. Modernist, futurist and abstract painters like Almada Negreiros, Jorge Barradas, Eduardo Viena, Stuart Carvalhais, Bernardo Marques and António Soares, decorated A Brasileira with paintings and it had been a modern art museum.
